“Yapu Yapu“ was originally created for the opening of photo exhibition "Musa x parasidiaca L." by Martina Pozzan (https://martinapozzan.net) in Zönotéka Berlin. It playfully explores the themes of Pozzan's photography; biodiversity, ecosystems, botanical collections and the origins of hundreds of banana species, through the lense of performance art and instant composition. Within a long process of collaboration, the performers have developed a distinct, intuitive way of creating performances together, where the immediate impressions, themes, textures, colours, nuances and atmospheres are reflected upon and integrated into an imaginative, poetic approach, blending movement, music, sound and text.
